Jim Corbett National Park is 250 Kms From Delhi in ramnagar disstt 45 kms from nainital.Its a oldest national park of india established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to save Bengal tiger .Its the first park to come under the Project Tiger reserve. Major Jim Corbett was majorly responsible Corbett National Park boundaries and areas. After India attained independence in 1947 the park was renamed as Ramganga National Park. In 1957 again renamed as Corbett National Park.

Corbett national park is combination of flora and fauna. In the Park 488 Spices of plants, 115 trees species, 52 species of mammals, 580 bird species and 26 reptile species. Forest covers 74% of the park and 10% of the area grasslands.

Corbett National Park covers area 520Kms Hills,lakes,rivers ,grasslands,and diverse wild life.Wild life safari is allowed in selected areas of Corbett park.almost more the 90,000 thousand tourist come from all over the world. . Jim Corbett National Park is located in the foothills of Himalaya in the closest proximity of Ramnagar an small Town. Corbett National Park is the oldest national park of India, Situated in Nainital district of Uttarakhand State.
Corbett Tiger Reserve today holds almost certainly the next major inhabitants of free living tigers in the globe. The reserve is therefore one of the last remaining strong holds, which holds a potentially feasible population of this royal and critically endangered species of cat family. Almost 600 Asian elephants also have a habitat in Corbett tiger reserve,and can be seen wondering restful along its length and breadth. Jim Corbett park, along with the Raja ji National Park also represents the North-western most limits of Tiger and Elephant sharing in the Indian subcontinent.

Jim Corbett National Park is also habitat for nearly 600 species of resident and migratory birds. This remarkably affluent avifaunal diversity represents almost 6% of the total birds species in the world. This is more than the total bird diversity of Europe.
